Faith Santilla (@faithsantilla) is a Pinay organizer, award-winning poet born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Her work has been cited in Asian American Studies programs around the nation, as well as published in UC Berkeley’s “Maganda” Magazine, Fred Ho’s “Legacy to Liberation,” and most recently in “Empire of Funk.” She gained national attention from being featured in the 1997 documentary, “Beats, Rhymes and Resistance,” as well as her historic poetry slam win on a local Los Angeles urban radio station in the late ‘90s. She is a mother of two and has worked in the labor movement for over 15 years.
