Lolita Lledo is a long-time activist since she was a student in the 70's. She fought and survived the Marcos dictatorship regime in the Philippines until he was ousted by a popular EDSA Revolution in 1986. After democracy was restored in the Philippines, Lolita migrated in the US in 1997. Once again, she continued her activism by helping organize and strengthen the Pilipino Workers Center. She is currently serving as the Associate Director of the Pilipino Workers Center and in the forefront of oyganizing and fighting for the rights and welfare of thousands of caregivers and other domestic workers in the US.
